The Windy City

We decided to celebrate the New Year in the Windy City — Chicago! This is the second time going — the first time being our honeymoon — so there’s a spot in our hearts for Chicago.

They don’t call it the windy city for nothing! There were times when it was bitterly cold, but we were able to bundle up and go in and out of stores to warm up. We spent time shopping, eating, walking around the Art Institute of Chicago and eating. We splurged a bit on a nice hotel, so we spent some time enjoying the facilities and comfy bed while watching their many channels of tv! It was meant to be a relaxing trip, some time away from our daily responsibilities and we definitely made that happen.

NYC, Part Two

Post 2/2 of our trip to the Big Apple. We love travelling to new places and exploring the area, whether it’s on the other side of the world or a short plane ride away. We always try to scope out the best places to eat, to walk and to explore. New York will definitely be a place to visit again — although the main areas were saturated with tourists (us included), we were able to find peace and quiet in Central Park and other little pockets. Next time, we’ll make the effort to visit Brooklyn and other parts of New York.

Spent a busy four days in the Big Apple last month, with plenty of architecture, walking, eating, taxi riding, sweating, people watching, park sitting, money spending, clothes buying, bagel eating, night life, cross walking, UniQlo-ing, and most importantly — picture taking.
